As an example of developing and providing fonts with the utilization of the FitFont technology, “Alpine AXIS” was introduced in the previous article of this series. The second example is a corporate font project by DENSO.
Type Project provided the “combination font” in which Type Project’s Japanese font and the corporate side’s specified Latin font are combined. The weight of Type Project’s AXIS Font was adjusted in accordance with the Latin font designed by Kontrapunkt, and Latin font was embedded in the Japanese font through engineering, and provided as one set of font data in the end.
