In Yagi’s first book in Japan in twenty years, The Graphic Eye of Tamotsu Yagi, AXIS Font was chosen for the entire sans-serif main text, for both the Japanese and the Latin characters. We have interviewed Tamotsu Yagi, currently based in California, who continues to work on diverse range of projects all around the world.

Launched Adjustable Font demo

Type Project launched Adjustable Font demo for expanding the possibility of corporate fonts. This will allow for detailed design attribute adjustments to be made in accordance with the user’s needs and conditions, thereby making it possible to choose the most appropriate fonts. AXIS Font using the adjustable function will be provided on an individual basis in accordance with the customer’s requirements.

Type Project will be talking about the KInshachi Font Typeface for Nagoya, one of our City Font Project at “Moji-bu” of Design-no-Hikidashi magazine on March 9th in Tokyo. The topics of its session will be concept of City Font Project, production background and process. Also we will be presenting an approach to new typeface and activation of Japanese fonts.

【Interview】Camper

Camper decided to go with AXIS Font for the Japanese corporate font, as it was compatible with the Latin corporate font, Univers, and could assume the Camper identity to aptly convey the company’s brand message. We have interviewed Office Manager, Naoko Okano.

AXIS Font has been adopted as a tool to facilitate that communication of the newest video game in the series titled FINAL FANTASY XIV; scheduled for release in 2013. The MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) is a game that involves a large number of users who can communicate online.
